Command & Operations

          The Public Information/Education Division is under the umbrella of the Division of Operations and overseen by a Deputy Chief.  The Division is primarily responsible for public and media relations, fire and life safety education, emergency preparedness planning and outreach services to the citizens of Eastside Fire & Rescue.

          Josie Williams, Public Information Officer and Education Coordinator provides oversight and coordination of all school, business and community fire and life safety, CPR, first aid, disaster related and injury prevention programs.  In addition, public and media relations and the website management are also areas of responsibility.  Josie is also involved at the county level as a board member for the King County Fire & Life Safety Association and at the state level serving on the board for the Washington Public Fire Educators.
