Mission Statement- To prevent loss of life and property caused by fire and/or explosions, to enforce the provisions of legally adopted fire codes, ordinances and nationally recognized standards.
Fire Prevention includes all fire service activity that decreases the incidences of uncontrolled fire. The Fire Prevention Bureau focuses on inspections, which include engineering and code enforcement, public fire safety education and fire investigation. The fruits of labor are most evident in the growth of the City of Issaquah and Sammamish. High profile businesses and family developments now reside in our service area: Microsoft, Boeing, Issaquah Highlands, University House, Talus are just a few of the many commercial and residential developments rising up with the 190 square miles of Eastside Fire & Rescue.
